Ferdi started his career as a financial planner advising business owners. He joined Aldes in 2002 as a franchisee and soon became the group’s top-performing broker. He later acquired the entire group and grew it from 7 franchisees to 35 thriving agencies, building Aldes into the largest SME business brokerage in Africa.

Ferdi designed the business valuation models and CRM system that have become the industry standard and remain the backbone of every Aldes office. After a successful exit from Aldes Head Office, he relocated to Windhoek to build Aldes Namibia himself.

Ferdi has personally sold many businesses and guided hundreds of business owners through a successful sale, often achieving outcomes beyond their expectations. He has structured some of the largest and most complex transactions in Aldes’ history, and over many years in the industry he has built a wide network of professionals to support his clients. He has also trained a generation of business brokers, authored the industry’s national qualification and helped shape the sector through his work with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA).

Ferdi holds B.Com (Law) and B.Proc degrees and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).

Always friendly and easy to deal with, Ferdi has an uncanny ability to solve problems others find difficult. He’s been happily married for 30 years and spent all those years perfecting the art of compromise : There’s very little he can’t negotiate.
